I think I have read this fic at least ten times. This is one of the best Nikki and Helen fics I have EVER read, and I have read a lot of them.
A different twist to the Bad Girls Line. Ten years have gone by, and Nikki was never released from jail. Karen, who is now governor of Larkhall, begs Helen to meet with Nikki at Larkhall prison. The ten years Nikki has lived through have not been easy ones, and have taken their toll on her. This is the story of what happened within those then years, but also what happens after Helen returns to Nikki’s life.
Heartbreaking doesn’t even start to describe this piece. I have cried many times through it, and the angst is at an all time high. The writing is very good, pulling you in, pulling the tears out of you with ease.
